Helen Jean Davidson Smith, 84, passed away on Saturday, November 26, 2022 in Cumming, GA. She was born on January 9, 1938 to Thomas and Carolyn Davidson in Atlanta, GA and grew up near Little Five Points.
She graduated Bass High School in Atlanta, GA where she was a member of the drill team and track team. She also attended Young Harris College.
She did amazing work and held trusted positions at Coldwell Banker, State farm Insurance, and KSU (formerly known as Southern Polytechnic State University) in Marietta, GA, working as the assistant to the president of GYSTC (Georgia Youth Science & Technology Center).
She enjoyed painting, collecting art and listening to opera. Always fascinated with history, Helen was especially interested in religion and Egyptian artifacts.
She was married to Dr. F Lannom Smith for 22 years until his death on Friday, March 26, 2021 in Tyler, Texas.
Helen is survived by her daughters, Roxlynn Thomas and Lisa Kamp; her grandchildren, Diva Thomas, Christopher Willis, Spencer Willis, and Alaina Willis; and her younger sister, Vivian Davidson
