Hope Eugenie Doyley departed this life for her eternal home on Tuesday, May 1, 2018. Hope was born on April 25, 1932 and was the first of 10 children born to Aubrey and Daisy Hylton. She spent her formative years in Port Antonio, Portland, Jamaica.
In 1954, Hope married Norval George Doyley, her loving husband of 49 years. In September of 1954 the couple moved to London, England where they would stay for many years. While in England, Hope and George were blessed with their only child, a son, Seymour Stanton George Doyley.
In 1992, George and Hope moved to Florida where they resided until 2001. They returned to Jamaica until Georges death in 2003. Hope eventually moved to Georgia to be close to her sisters Joy and Hyacinth. She set up residence in Cumming and became a member of First Baptist Cumming where she was active in Sunday School.
Hope is preceded in death by her Mother and Father, her husband, and two sisters Joy McLean and Dorothy Ellison and a brother, Albert Hylton.
She leaves behind to mourn: her son Seymour and his wife Linda. Hopes two sisters, Hyacinth Hylton-Miller and Mavis Patton. Her brothers Ivan, Ashley, Rudolph, Cecil Hylton and numerous nieces, nephews and friends.
Memorial services will be held Saturday, May 12, at 1:00 p.m. at the Ingram Funeral Home Chapel.
