We celebrate the life of Hope Wilson. Throughout the many challenges in her life, she displayed the spirit and tenacity of a warrior, a fighter and a survivor. She was born in China in 1999 and joined the Wilson family in 2010. Challenged by a recurring brain tumor and blindness, Hope forged a life of determination and tenacity. She was strong willed, smart and creative. Having survived multiple brain surgeries in her past, the most recent was one that she just could not overcome. She passed away on June 12, 2020.
Hope is survived by her parents, Nikki and Scott, and by her brother Nick and sister Megan. She is also survived by her grandparents, Joyce (Nana) and Bubba Wilson.
After arriving in the US, Hope quickly learned English and Braille through her eagerness to learn and the dedicated love and support of her teachers. Hope loved to watch the Disney channel, do arts and crafts, and was a connoisseur of all things "food." Food was one of her favorite topics. Ice cream was a love language for her.
Hope's life will be celebrated by family and friends in a private ceremony. In lieu of flowers, we ask that you make a donation in Hope's name to Camp Sunshine, 1850 Clairmont Rd, Decatur, GA 30033. Summer camp at Camp Sunshine was a highlight of the calendar year for Hope. As a "people person," she would thrive in making new friends and enjoying her new surroundings.
She was loved and will be missed.
Ingram Funeral Home & Crematory, 210 Ingram Ave, Cumming, GA 30040 is in charge of arrangements.
