Horace H. Perry Sr.

Horace H. Perry Sr., 94 of Cumming, Georgia passed away peacefully at his home on Tuesday, October 18, 2022. He was born to the late Slayton and Mary Perry in South Side Tennessee. He was a resident of Cumming for almost 30 years.

Horace was the second son of eight children. He enjoyed fishing, gardening, farming, NASCAR and camping. He was an active member of Oak Grove Baptist Church where he served as a Deacon. In his retirement, he served Forsyth County as a Bailiff for the Honorable Judge Jeffery Bagley for over 10 years.

Horace was preceded in death by his parents and six of his siblings, John Perry, Pete Perry, Dorothy Duke, Thomas Perry, Buford Perry and Mary Ann Hall and his Wife of over seventy years Mrs. Laura A. Perry.

He is survived by his sister Ethel Krantz, two sons Horace H. Perry Jr. and Bobby D. Perry, daughter-in-law Maggie Perry, grandchildren, Tim Perry and wife Kim, Renee Haley and husband Joe, Holly Hill, Buck Perry and wife Christine, Austin Perry, Kaylyn Millsaps and husband William, Alex Perry, many nieces and nephews, and several great grandchildren. We all knew him as a wise and loving Man.

Funeral services will be held at 12:00 pm Saturday, October 22, 2022, in the Chapel of Ingram Funeral Home with the Reverend Craig Richards officiating. Interment will follow at Concord Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends Friday, October 21, 2022, from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm and one hour prior to the funeral at Ingram Funeral Home, 210 Ingram Avenue, Cumming, GA 30040.
