Hugo E. Maybin Sr

Hugo E. Maybin Sr., age 85 was called to glory in Cumming, Georgia on December 3, 2014. He was a resident of Cumming, GA since 2010 and previously of Colorado Springs for 28 years. He was born in Boston, Massachusetts on August 23, 1929 to Mack Maybin and Eva (McCarthy) Maybin who are deceased. He was a retired Master Sergeant and served in the U.S. Army for 26 years. His overseas tours included Vietnam, Korea and Germany. He received numerous awards including a Bronze Star and Meritorious Service Medal. He was a security officer at C & D Bonded Security for nearly 15 years after retiring from the Army. He had a love for family, football, golf, running and seafood. He is survived by his wife, Nellie Jones Maybin; daughters Sarita Maybin of San Diego, California, Marlisa Maybin of Aurora, Colorado, Kristina Maybin Washington (Leroy) of Cumming, Georgia, Angela Jones of Cumming, Georgia; sons Hugo Maybin, Jr. of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania,and Charles Jones Jr. (Shelia) of Havre de Grace, MD; Grandchildren Karl Bradley of Chicago, Illinois, Melina Anderson of San Diego, California, Alec Maybin of Denver, Colorado, Quentin Jones of Havre de Grace, MD and Kobie Jones of Havre de Grace, MD and sister Maxine Maybin of Virginia Beach, VA. He was preceded in death by his wife of fifty years, Doris (Archie) Maybin who died on July 14, 2005. He was preceded in death by two brother's Robert Maybin, Sr. and Carl Maybin Sr. and sister Eva Juanita Freeman. Visitation will be held from 10 AM to 12PM on December 6, 2014 at Ingram Funeral Home. Final Interment will occur at a later date at Evergreen Cemetery in Colorado Springs, Colorado. Ingram Funeral Home & Crematory, Cumming, Georgia is in charge of arrangements.
