Ida Mae McBrayer Lingerfelt, age 61, of Cumming passed away Monday, May 21, 2012 due to complications arising from an extended period of illness. She was a lifelong resident of Cumming and was a member of Four Mile Baptist Church in Pickens County. She was a longtime caregiver for people with severe disabilities. Ida is preceded in death by her son, Tony McBrayer; granddaughter, Cheyenne Stanford; parents, Mark and Lucille Goodwin; sister, Joanne Silvers. She is survived by her husband, Ricky Lingerfelt of Cumming; daughters, Patricia (Anselmo) Torres, Chasity (Robert) Stanford, Leah Lingerfelt (Ricky) Hammett all of Cumming; grandchildren, Michael (Kate) Torres of Florida, Anthony McBrayer Matthews of Jasper, Bryson Hammett of Cumming, Cheyanna Faith Stanford, Khloe Maeson Stanford of Cumming; sisters, Deana Lingerfelt (Randy Waycaster), Alice Goodwin all of Cumming, Josephine King of Flowery Branch, Dyan (Ronald) Allen of Cumming, Jean (Bill) Smith of Ball Ground, Hazel (Booty) Wehunt of Ball Ground; brothers, Billy Goodwin of Ball Ground, Marcus (Essie) Goodwin of Ball Ground, James Goodwin of Cumming; numerous nieces, nephews and other loving relatives. Graveside services will be held Thursday, May 24th at 10:00 am at Zion Hill Baptist Church Cemetery with Rev. Barry Payne officiating. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to The American Diabetes Association or The Lupus Foundation. Ingram Funeral Home & Crematory, Cumming, Georgia is in charge of arrangements.
