Imogene Groover, age 86, of Cumming, passed away Saturday, February 26, 2011. Imogene was a member of Friendship Baptist Church. She was the family doctor, had a great sense of humor, was a wonderful cook and loved the Atlanta Braves and her game shows. She was preceded in death by her husband, Franklin Groover; son, Billy Groover; her parents, Ebb and Jewell Tallant. Survivors include her children, Jean Gravitt and Doris Day of Cumming; brother and sister-in-law, Boot and Vera Tallant; sister-in-law, Marie Groover; long time companion, Thomas Kervin of Cumming; grandchildren, Brian and Donna Gravitt, Tammy and Keith Pace, Tim and Jessica, Ben and Charlene Day, Amy and Luke Bagby; 11 great grandchildren; several nieces, nephews and other relatives. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, March 1, 2011, at Friendship Baptist Church in Cumming with Rev. Ricky Byrd, Rev. Rex Byrd and Rev. Bud Sutton officiating. Interment will follow at Friendship Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends at Ingram Funeral Home on Sunday from 5:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. on Monday from 9:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. and Tuesday from 9:00 a.m. until hour of service. Ingram Funeral Home Crematory, Cumming, Georgia is in charge of arrangements.
