Inez "Jean" Bolton

Inez "Jean" Bolton, age 96, of Cumming, passed away on Saturday, March 8, 2014. She was preceded in death by her husband, R.C. "Sack" Bolton and parents, Walter and Ethel Hardin. Funeral Services will be held on Monday, March 10, 2014 at 2:00 P.M. at Coal Mountain Baptist Church with Rev. Danny Bennett and Rev. Larry Vaughan officiating. Interment will follow at Sawnee View Memorial Gardens. The family will be receiving friends at the church from 12:00 noon until the hour of service. She is survived by her children, Harold and Sandra Bolton of Dahlonega; granddaughters, Jenni and Mark Waller and Mary Beth and Scott Burgess of Cumming; grandsons, Kevin Fowler of Jacksonville, FL and Brook and Staci Bolton of Roswell and great grandchildren, Christian Haygood, Bryan Waller, Brandon Waller, Braydon Bolton, Brookann Bolton, and Brynn Bolton. Jean was born at home in Cumming on July 10, 1917. She was a wife, homemaker and avid gardener but perhaps her greatest joys were cooking for family and friends and taking care of her grandchildren and great grandchildren later in life. Starting school at age 13, Jean graduated as the Cumming High School Class of 1937 Salutatorian at age 19. She married R.C. (Sack) Bolton and lived in Atlanta for several years where her son Harold was born. Jean loved her son and was very proud of him graduating from Georgia Tech. She even wrote a paper for him and got a B-. Jean assisted her father in operating his store W.J. Hardin Feed & Grocery. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Brookann Faith Bolton Third-Party Special Needs Trust at Regions Bank, 865 Woodstock Road, Roswell, GA 30075 or at any branch.
