J.D. Kirby

J.D. Kirby, 72, of Cumming, GA, passed away on Wednesday, September 20, 2017. A member of New Harmony Baptist Church, J.D. loved the outdoors, photography, trout fishing and camping. He is preceded in death by his wife Mary (Jean) Kirby; brothers, Junior Kirby, Donald Kirby and M.C. Kirby; and sisters, Dorothy Biddy and Elaine Brooks.

Survivors include his sons and daughters-in-law, Stanley and Amy Kirby of Cleveland, GA, Tony and Tessa Kirby of Cumming, Jason and Theresa Kirby of Dawsonville; grandchildren, Haven, David, Avery, Emily, Paige, KayLee, Samantha, Cynthia, Kevin, Kailyn and Kyler; 4 great grandchildren; siblings, G.W. and Rounette Kirby of Cumming, Jean Oliver of Cumming, Ricky Kirby of Cumming and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services for Mr. Kirby will be held Saturday, September 23, at 3:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Ingram Funeral Home with Rev. Ruel Martin and Rev. James Samples officiating. Interment will follow at Sawnee View Gardens.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home Friday from 6:00 to 9:00 p.m. and Saturday from 10 a.m. until the hour of service.
