Jacqueline (Jackie) Rosser Gaignard passed away October 27, 2020. Jackie was born on March 5, 1937 in Atlanta, Georgia to Catherine Rosser and Harold Rosser, who died in service to his country in WWII after he was shot down over Germany. She is survived by her son, William Golden, her step-daughter, Karen Gaignard, five grandchildren, four great-grandchildren, and three great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her loving husband of 40 years, Stephen John Gaignard Sr.; daughter, Cynthia Abernathy; step-son, Steven John Gaignard Jr.; and her parents.
Jackie loved life, living every day to its fullest and surrounding herself with many lifelong friends. She was an outgoing, talented, and creative woman, displaying her many talents through a range of arts and endeavors. While still in high school, she was asked to become the first female majorette with the Georgia Tech marching band. For several years, she was a respected and sought after seamstress. When women were rare in technological professions, she learned data processing and started her own company, CompuServe, later learning mainframe programming. Following an early retirement, she and her husband fulfilled their shared dream of becoming artists, starting a new venture, Warm Feelings, making hand crafted home decorations, small furniture, and original paintings. Later she became a favorite customer service representative at Mary Kay, where she retired for the last time.
Jackie will be greatly missed but leaves behind many wonderful memories with those whose lives she touched.
