James Aubrey Thompson Jr

James Aubrey Thompson, Jr., age 85, of Alpharetta, passed away on Tuesday, April 29, 2014. He is a veteran of the United States Navy, a retired 37 year Field Engineer with IBM of Atlanta, a member of the Sandy Springs Masonic Lodge # 124, YAARAB Shrine Temple and a former Boy Scout Leader of the Roswell United Methodist Church Troop. Mr. Thompson is survived by his wife, Patricia Ann Thompson; sons and daughter in laws, James A. and Pam Thompson III and William B. and Sandy Thompson; daughter and son in law, Rebecca A. and Curtis Crawford; sisters, Catherine Peters, Ruth McLain and Nancy Smith; grandchildren, Robert Ryan and Katie Elaine Thompson, Nathaniel Lamar and Matthew Austin Crawford. Funeral Service for Mr. Thompson will be on Friday, May 2, 2014 at 9:00 A.M. at Bethelview United Methodist Church, of which he was a member. Interment to follow at Georgia National Cemetery at 11:00 A.M. Visitation will be on Thursday, May 1, 2014 from 6:00 P.M. 9:00 P.M. at the funeral home.
