James David Lister

J. David Lister, 67, of Cumming, Georgia passed away on March 24th, 2013. Friends and family are invited to the visitation services on March 28th, 2013 from 4-6pm at Byars Funeral Home & Cremation Services, 155 Professional Park Drive, Cumming, GA 30041.
David is survived by his loving wife of 45 years, Jo Lister and their daughters, Ree Greteman and Mandy Chevalier; grandchildren, Kiran Greteman, and Addy and Landon Chevalier; lucky son-in-laws, Dan Greteman and Terry Chevalier; his sister, Evelyn Elliott and brother, William Lister.
David and his family spent 23 years in Slidell, LA before moving to Cumming, GA. David was an active member of the Institute for Supply Management, serving on the board and a past president of the New Orleans and Atlanta chapters.
His friendly personality and humor were always present. He also loved his weekend outings with Jo, traveling to see his grandchildren, cheering on the New Orleans Saints and LSU Tigers, and watching Braves baseball. He set aside time for daily Christian devotions and prayer. He also served in the Vietnam War as part of the US Army.
Memorial donations may be made to the American Heart Association.
