James F. Parker, age 85, of Cumming, passed away Wednesday, May 22, 2013. James was in the United States Navy and a veteran of WWII. He later owned Parker Electric in Moultrie, GA. He was a Freemason and a member of the Hasan Shrine Temple in Albany, GA. James was a member of First Redeemer Church. Survivors include his loving wife of 62 years, Barbara Sherling Parker of Cumming; sons and daughter-in-law, Frank and Marcie Parker, Scott Parker of Cumming; grandchildren, Kellie and Mike Bishop, Jasmine Parker, Marlena Parker, Olivia Parker, Evelyn Parker; great grandchildren, Ethan Bishop, Annalise Bishop, Amberleigh Bishop, Kaylyn Parker; sisters and brother-in-law, Helen Gore of Baxley, Shirley and Earl Roberts of Moultrie, Ann McCorvey of Moultrie; brother and sister-in-law, Bobby and Doris Parker of Lakeland, FL. A celebration of life will be held Saturday, May 25 at 2:00 p.m. at Frankie's house with Rev. Mike Schmid officiating. Ingram Funeral Home & Crematory, Cumming, Georgia is in charge of arrangements.
