James Payton Holbrooks

Mr. James Payton Holbrooks, age 93, of Cumming passed away Monday, March 28, 2016. Mr. Holbrooks is preceded in death by his wife, Annette Pitts Holbrooks Survivors include his children, Wendell Holbrooks of Cumming, Deborah Derrick of Tennessee, Randall Holbrooks of Cumming, Rachel Garrand of Hoschton, Johnny Holbrooks of Michigan, Alex Holbrooks of Gainesville, Michael Holbrooks of Gainesville, sister, Myrtle Bryson of South Carolina; brothers, Paul Holbrooks of South Carolina, Tim Holbrooks of South Carolina; several grandchildren and great grandchildren. Funeral services will be held Thursday, March 31 at 2:00 p.m. at the Ingram Funeral Home with Rev. Sam Rickett and Rev. Chad Holbrooks officiating. A viewing will be held Friday, April 1, from 1:00 to 2:00 p.m. at Old Union Church with interment to follow in Old Union Church cemetery in Toccoa, GA. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Wednesday from 2:00 to 4:00 and 6:00 to 9:00 p.m. and Thursday from 11:00 a.m. until the time of the service.
