James R. "Jim" Brown

James (Jim) R. Brown, a beloved husband, dad and papa, passed away on Monday, October 24, 2016 at the age of 78 with his loving family by his side. Jim graduated from Pepperdine University with a Mechanical Engineering degree. He served 9 years in the United States Navy. Jim was President of GAPA (Georgia Association Plant Administrators) and was retired from Southern Poly Tech. Jim went by many names, husband dad, uncle bobo, but loved papa the most. He is survived by his wife, Irma Ree Beggs-Brown; daughters, Sandra Brown, Jamie Gray (Jason); sons, Greg Yarbrough (Kathy), Freddy Yarbrough (Danielle), Rodney Pirkle (Nicole); grandkids, Kenny (Rocio) Gabriel, Skylar, Jason, Jr., Hayden, Blake, Tyler, Kyle, Kerry, Shannon, Jordan, Savannah, Miranda, Alyssa; great grandkids, Uriah, Elija, Fantasha, Kyara and hisfur babies, Rosie, Ace and Princess. Funeral services will be held Thursday, October 27, 2016 at 10:00 am at Ingram Funeral Home Chapel with Dr. Barry Crocker officiating. Interment will follow at Georgia National Cemetery in Canton at 1:00 pm. The family will receive friends at Ingram Funeral Home on Wednesday from 5:00 pm until 8:00 pm and Thursday from 9:00 am until hour of the Service.
