James Stanley Stachura, age 57 of Alpharetta, Georgia passed away Friday, November 20, 2009. He is preceded in death by his father, Howard Joseph Stachura. James lived his childhood in Pekin, Illinois and graduated High School from Spaulding Institute Peoria Illinois in 1970 and attended the University of Illinois 1970-1974. He received a Bachelor's Degree from Aurora College in 1975 and worked for the Kane County Sheriff's Dept as a Deputy. Later he received Master's in Criminology from Sam Houston State University May 1979. In the early 1980's James was a teacher's assistant at several college institutions while working on his doctorate degree. (Central Michigan University in Mt Pleasant, Mi.; Texas Tech University in Lubbock, TX. ;Texas A& M University in College Station, TX and Florida State University in Tallahassee Fl.) Later worked as a Market Research Analyst for the Florida Credit Union League in Tallahassee Florida for 11 yrs. Then moved to the Atlanta area and worked for Aelera Corp. as a marketing/research analyst.
Survivors include his wife, Patty and step-children, Robbie and Allison; mother, Sidney Yvonne Parrott Martin; sister, Judy Sheppard of Peoria Illinois; sister, Jean Stachura of Nashville TN.;brother, Joe Stachura & wife Micki of Morton Illinois; sister, Jan Fitzgerald & husband Walter of The Woodlands Texas. Several Nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews also survived.
Services were private and in lieu of flowers making a donation in Jim's name to a charity of your choice is appreciated by the family.
