Ellen Jane Tisdale Ishol of Cumming, Georgia, died December 16, 2008. She was 77.
Mrs. Ishol was born in Gainesville, Florida, where she spent much of her life. She often spoke fondly of her P.K Yonge Laboratory School memories, and received a Bachelors degree in Education from the University of Florida in 1953. She was a teacher as well as a Navy wife and homemaker. Jane was known for her incredible passion for cooking.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Dr. William B. Tisdale and Ruth Blakely Tisdale, her sister Elizabeth Anne Tisdale DeBusk, and her brother Dr. William Allan Tisdale.
Survivors include her husband, Dr. Lyle M. Ishol of Cumming, Georgia, two daughters, Susan Ishol Young of Cumming, Georgia and Karen Ishol Jones of Starke, Florida and six grandchildren.
In keeping with her wishes, a springtime life celebration is planned for Saturday, April 11 at 10:30 a.m. in the Baughman Center Chapel, 982 Museum Road, University of Florida Campus.
