Janet Louise Kiester

Janet Louise Kiester, nee Johnson, was born December 19, 1942 in Omaha, Nebraska, the daughter of Lillian Miller and Wallace Johnson. At a very young age Jans family moved to Edina, MN. She graduated from Edina High School in 1960 and went straight to work as a secretary for a company in Edina. She worked there until she got married in 1964.

Janet Louise Johnson married Stephen Robert Kiester on March 28, 1964. During their marriage, she and Steve lived in Bloomington, Richfield, Edina, and Woodbury, MN; Snellville, Dacula, before finally settling in Cumming GA.

Jan is survived by her husband, Steve, and by their children and their families, Scott Anthony Kiester and his wife, Linda, their children, Lyndsay Brittain and her husband Justin, and their children, Kennedy and Callen; Brian Kiester; and Samantha Kiester; Christopher Stephen Kiester and his wife Karla and their children, Hannah, Megan, and Joshua, Lori Lynn Bartram and her husband James, and their children, Emma and Kaylee. She is also survived by her brother, Robert Johnson and wife Karen Johnson, as well as her brother in law, Charles Kiester and his wife Mary.

Jan is proceeded in death by her parents, Wallace and Lillian Miller.

We are humbled and grateful for the time the good Lord allowed us to spend with you. We will never forget your warrior spirit and ability to fight all the many challenges you were faced with. You will be greatly missed but we take comfort in knowing that you are now at peace and without pain in Gods arms. We will love you forever.

But as for us, my family will serve the Lord

Memorial services will be held Saturday, August 12, at 11:00 a.m. at Christ the King Lutheran Church.
