Janice Marie Dennis

Janice Jan Marie Elias Dennis passed away on October 11, 2011 at the age of 64, peacefully in her home in Cumming, GA after a courageous 3 year battle with ovarian cancer.

Jan was born in East Grand Rapids, Michigan and graduated from University of Miami where she played on the golf team, then settling in Atlanta for the last 30 years. Jan competed nationally in both golf and tennis, while supporting her childrens athletics and most of all Michigan football. Jan touched many lives through her selfless actions.

She was one of three children born to the late Dr. Richard J. Elias and Mrs. Bedelia Elias. She is survived by her beloved husband, Tom Dennis, three children, Jodi, Brian, and Dean and her two grandchildren, Kyle and Eli. She will be remembered by countless friends and other family who were blessed to know her.

Friends and Family are invited to attend a Memorial Service at 11:00 am on Monday, October 17th, 2011 at Cumming First United Methodist Church , then immediately following the service there will be a short burial service at Georgia National Cemetery in Canton, GA. A Celebration of Life reception will be at 4:00pm at the Lodge at Windermere in Cumming, GA where food and spirits will be served.
