Janis Elaine Humphries

Janis Elaine Humphries, age 68, of Cumming, GA, passed away Saturday, August 12, 2017. Janis was a member of Salem Baptist Church in Gainesville, GA. She will always be remembered as a loving daughter, wife, mother, and friend. She will be missed. Janis is preceded in death by her loving husband, Jerry Humphries, and father, Joe Maxwell.

She is survived by her children, Bill (Elizabeth) Humphries, Hope (Davey) Gravitt, and Adam (Lyndsey) Humphries; mother, Ruth Maxwell; grandchildren, Davis Gravitt, Dawson Gravitt, Tyler, Jackson, Nora and Will Humphries; brother, BJ Maxwell; sisters and brothers-in-law, Judi (Jim) Ward, and Joyce (Jim) Hamon; along with many other loving relatives and friends.

Funeral services for Mrs. Humphries will be held Tuesday, August 15, 2017 at 4:00 p.m. at Salem Baptist Church in Gainesville, GA with Rev. Shad Faulkner, Rev. Donnie Nix and Rev Fred Howard officiating. Interment will follow in the Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Monday, August 14, from 3:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. and on Tuesday, from 12:00 p.m. until 3:00 p.m.
