Jean Finch Faille

Jean Finch Faille, 89 of Alpharetta passed away March 1, 2023. Jean was born in Norfolk, VA to the late Leon & Ruth Williams Finch. She was a member of Antioch Baptist Church in Blairsville, GA.

Jean was a humble, behind-the-scenes encourager; loved Jesus and was such a prayer warrior for her family and friends. A faithful servant willing to give her time and a meal or two until she couldn’t. She loved and excelled in painting, water skiing, traveling. She was an adventurous and fearless cook, often challenging the mundane and excelling in both savory meals and sweet treats. She was also an avid golfer, and would love to tell you about having achieved 3 holes-in-one!

Jean was a switchboard operator when she met Richard “Dick” Faille in 1957, and she unselfishly gave her life to supporting Dick through more than 25 moves, and careers of hydroponic farming, the corporate world via GE Medical and 3 more “after-retirement” careers. Mom to 2 children, Grandma and Mema to 9 grandchildren, and Great-Grammy to 3 before her passing. 

Jean is preceded in death by her loving husband of 65 years, Dick Faille; granddaughter, Hope Faille; brother, Leon “Junie” Finch, Jr. 

Jean is survived by her son and daughter in-law, Rich (Shawn); daughterand son in-law, Dawn (Ed); grandchildren, Caleb, Elijah, Abigail, Hannah, Samuel, Raima, Ryan and Faith; great grandchildren, Anna, Serenity, Olivia; brothers, Jimmy Finch, Rick Finch, and Bobby Finch.

A celebration of life will be held 2:00 pm Saturday, April 15, 2023, in the chapel of ingram funeral home with Rev. Richard Faille officiating. The family will receive friends Saturday, April 15, 2023, from 1:00 pm to 2:00 pm at Ingram Funeral Home & Crematory, 210 Ingram Ave, Cumming, GA 30040. Condolences may be made at www.ingramfuneralhome.com
