Jeanette C. Whitaker

Jeanette C. Whitaker of Cumming, GA, age 90, passed away peacefully at home on Saturday, April 17th at 8:38pm. She was lovingly surrounded by family with her hand held. As she took her last breath, her eyes widened almost with amazement and she smiled! It was truly an unbelievable experience we will hold close to our hearts.

Jeanette was born in Atlanta, GA on July 4, 1930 to James Robert and Lila Mae Cook. Her Father affectionately called Jeanette his little "fire cracker" as she was born on the 4th of July! She grew up in Brookhaven, GA and married her Chamblee High School sweetheart,
James Joseph Whitaker, "Joe". They were married for 62 years having three daughters, Judy, Brenda & Emily. Jeanette was a wonderful woman with Truly the Kindest and most Congenial soul, always quick to listen to others and smile... gentle and easy going. She also had a witty sense of humor and just fun to be around! Jeanette was a Loving and Dedicated Wife, Mother, Grandmother and Great Grandmother. She was loyal to her Christian Belief with unwavering faith of living forever in Paradise, where she will once again be reunited with all her loved ones.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her beloved Husband, Joe & loving younger Sister, Lila Ellen Brandt.
