Jeanne Marie Everett

February 3, 1939 - November 9, 2024

Jeanne Marie Everett, 85, of Cumming passed away Saturday, November 9, 2024, in hospice care at Emory University Hospital. Jeanne and husband Walter were married for 56 years and shared a lifetime of love and cherished memories. 

Jeanne was preceded in death by her parents Joseph L. and Helen B. McCanna as well as her brother, Joseph T. McCanna. 

Jeanne retired after 30 years of service at the Department of State. She traveled extensively. She and Walter traveled the 48 contiguous United States. She loved spending time with family and friends, cooking, and baking, watching college basketball and being a part of the Vickery Lake community.

Survivors include daughter and son-in-law, Jennifer and Keith Kitchens and two granddaughters Emily and Allison Kitchens in Milton, Georgia and son and daughter-in-law, Justin and Wendy Everett and two grandsons Max and Berkley Everett in Houston, Texas.

Private interment will be held at Georgia National Cemetery in Canton, Georgia at a later date.
