Jeanne Marie Varnedoe Cowdrey was born on Valentine's Day, February 14, 1947 and passed away peacefully at Northside Hospital Forsyth on September 3, 2012. She is survived by her husband, Bennie Cowdrey of Cumming; her children, son Alex and daughter-in-law Cathy Cowdrey of Albany, GA, daughter Carol and son-in-law Rusty Whitlow of Cumming; grandchildren Harrison Cowdrey, Emma Grace and Gantt Whitlow. She is also survived by her aunt Amy Varnedoe of Decatur, sister Carolyn and brother-in-law Cy Timmons of Highlands, NC, sister-in-law, Reita and husband JC Gilleland, nephew Mickey Britain, great nephews Brandon and Cody Britain, and great niece Brandi Britain all of Cumming. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, September 5th at 4:30 pm at Cumming First United Methodist Church with Rev. John Cromartie officiating. Interment will follow at Sawnee View Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends at Ingram Funeral Home on Tuesday from 11:00 am until 2:00 pm and 5:00 pm until 9:00 pm. In lieu of flowers, please consider making a donation in memory of Jeanne Marie Cowdrey to Jesse's House Emergency Children's Shelter, P.O.
