Jeanne Carnes Shiretzki

Jeanne Carnes Shiretzki, age 93, of Cumming, GA, passed away on November 19, 2022.  She was a loving mother, grandmother, and great grandmother.

Jeanne’s parents Brian Arnold and Evelyn Hanner Arnold died when Jeanne was young.  She came to live with Aunt Mary Hanner Daniel and W.P. Daniel and lovingly claimed them as close as parents until their deaths.

Jeanne served in the Forsyth County School System for many years as a paraprofessional.  She was very artistic.  Her hobbies included baking, painting, and making porcelain dolls.  She loved watching birds and wildlife.

Jeanne is preceded in death by first husband James D. “Buster” Carnes, second husband David Shiretzki, son Robert Andrew “Andy” Carnes and sisters Lynn Conrad and Barbara McMillan.

She is survived by her children, Stella (Danny) Vaughan, James D. “Jimmy” (Carla) Carnes Jr. and David A. (Margo) Carnes; grandchildren, Joseph “Joe” (Cynthia) Vaughan, Julie Jeanne Vaughan, Brian Carnes, John (Alicia) Davis; great grandchildren, Marshall, Owen, Charlie Mae, Reio and Jyou; cousin, Bill Daniel.

The family will have a private graveside tribute for Jeanne at Sawnee View Gardens on Tuesday, November 22, 2022.
