Jeffery Wayne Heard

Jeffery Wayne Heard, 70, of Matt passed away peacefully, Thursday, April 22, 2021 at his home after an extended battle with COPD. Jeff was a member in good standing for 31 years in Ducktown Lodge #572 F&AM and a 15 year member of the American Legion. He was also a member of Orange United Methodist Church. Jeff is preceded in death by his wife, Rebecca "Becky" Smith Heard, his parents, Frances "Pete" Heard and Lee "Bud" Heard of Lathemtown, and his brother, Jerry Heard.

Jeff is survived by his son, Jacob Randolph Heard; brothers and sisters-in-law, James L. and Nancy Heard, Joey and Georgia Heard; sister and brother-in-law, Janice and Eddie Ghorley; several nieces, nephews and many unofficially adopted children.

The family will receive friends at Ingram Funeral Home Saturday, May 1, from 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. with Masonic Rites being held at 3:00.

In lieu of flowers, contributions in Jeff's name may be made to the Ducktown Lodge #572 F&AM Building Fund, 4655 Canton Highway, Cumming, GA 30040.

Ingram Funeral Home and Crematory, 210 Ingram Avenue, Cumming, Georgia 30040 is in charge of arrangements.
