Jerry Ailene Myers

Mrs. Jerry Ailene Myers, age 75, of Cumming, passed away on Sunday, February 28, 2016, at Northside Forsyth Hospital. Jerry was born in Ellijay, GA, in the summer of 1940 to the late Cicero and Dorothy Martin. She was an amazing wife, loving mother, sweet grandmother and a loyal friend. She was a hairstylist and owner and operator of her own salon called Jerry's Coiffeurs in Ellenwood, GA. Jerry was a caregiver to many little ladies and will be dearly missed by many in her family and community. In addition to her parents, she is also preceded in death by her brothers, Joe and Javan Martin; sister, Julie Cassell and step-father, Marcus Edwards. Mrs. Myers is survived by her loving husband of 56 years, Bobby M. Myers of Cumming,Ga; children, Melvin (Kim) Myers of Covington, GA, Clete Myers of Dawsonville, GA, Steve (Peggy) Sweatman of Hogansville, GA, Matt (Shellie) Myers of Cumming. GA, Bobby (Lisa) Myers of Flowery Branch, GA, Tamara Myers of Dawsonville, GA, and Dana (Jamie) Corr of FT. Myers, FL; brothers and sisters-in-law, Jimmy (Gloria) Martin of Social Circle, GA, Jack (Wendy) Martin of Concord, GA, and John A. Martin of Fairburn, GA; sisters and brother-in-law, Janie Grant of Fairburn, GA, Jeannie (Jimmy) Tallant of Blairsville, GA, and Janet Mongan of FL; along with 16 grandchildren; 5 great grandchildren and many other loving friends and relatives. Funeral Services will be held on Wednesday, March 2, 2016 at 2:00 PM at Oak Grove Baptist Church with Rev. Craig Richards officiating. Entombment will follow at Sawnee View Mausoleum. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Tuesday, from 4:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. and again Wednesday, from 9:00 a.m. until the hour of service.
