Jerry Bennett

Jerry Bennett, loving husband, father, and grandfather passed away Tuesday, November 22nd, 2022. Jerry was a lifelong resident of Forsyth County. He retired from Ford Motor Company with 41 years and 10 years in the Forsyth County School System. Jerry was happiest when he was working, gardening, or spending time with his four granddaughters. He was preceded in death by his parents, Gaines and Berline Bennett, and his brother Larry Bennett.

Jerry is survived by his wife of 54 years, Patricia Shoemake Bennett; sons and daughters in law, Chris, Kim, Craig, and Shay Bennett; granddaughters, Kayla and Nic Venezia, Kendel, Rilee, and McCall Bennett; sisters, Sandra Bennett and Rhenida Rennie; brother, Ricky Bennett and his wife Cindy Bennett; brother and sister in law, Jerry and Pam Gilbert, Ronnie and Lynn Shoemake, and Belvia Bennett; many nieces and nephews; and his beloved dog Rascal.

Funeral services will be held Sunday, November 27, 2022 at 4:00 p.m. in the chapel of Ingram Funeral Home in Cumming, GA with Rev. Dexter Gravitt, and Rev. Joey Gilbert officiating. Interment will follow at Sawnee View Gardens in Cumming, GA. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Saturday from 4:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. and on Sunday from 1:00 p.m. until the hour of service.
