Jesse “Jimmy” James Pierce

Reverend Jesse James (Jimmy) Pierce, 76 years of age from Dawsonville, GA went to be with our Lord and Savior on November 16, 2023. During his 6-year cancer battle he showed strength and perseverance while always having a smile for his wife and children.

Jimmy retired after 27 years from the Forsyth County Maintenance Department. Jimmy dedicated his life to the Lord on May 9, 1991, when he was called to preach. Jimmy loved woodworking and spending time with his big loving family.

Jimmy is survived by his loving wife of 57 1/2 years Barbara Ann Pierce, his children Michael & Dee Ann Pierce of Cumming, GA,  Tim & Julie Pierce of Cumming, GA, Tom & Shawn Pierce of Dawsonville, GA,  Bobby & Pam Pierce of Titusville, FL, Tootie Pierce of Dahlonega, GA, Tracy & William Gaydon of Cumming, GA, Jesse & Holli Pierce of Dahlonega, GA, his 27 Grandchildren and 18 Great Grandchildren.

Jimmy positively influenced everyone he met and will be greatly missed.

Funeral services will be held 2:00 pm Sunday, November 19, 2023 in the chapel of Ingram Funeral home with his sons, Pastor Bobby Pierce and Pastor Tom Pierce officiating. Interment will follow at Sawnee View Gardens in Cumming, GA. The family will receive friends Friday November 17, 2023 from 4:00 pm until 8:00 pm, Saturday, November 18, 2023 from 9:00 am until 8:00 pm, and Sunday, November 19, 2023 from 9:00 am until service time at Ingram Funeral Home, 210 Ingram Ave., Cumming, GA 30040.
