Henry Jewell Dixon, age 88, of Dawsonville, GA, passed awayThursday, August 24, 2017. He was a member and Deacon of Setten Down Baptist Church. Jewell is preceded in death by his loving wife, Anna Ruth Dixon; children, Larry Jewell Dixon, Sandra Kay Dixon; granddaughter, Melissa Ann Sams; parents, Ivous and Daisy Dixon; 3 brothers and 4 sisters.

He is survived by his children, Jerry (Margie) Dixon, Danny T. (Donna M.) Dixon, Roger Wayne (Debbie) Dixon, Raymond (Sue) Dixon, Kathy (Chris) Lawson; sister, Faustine Day; brothers, Horace (Sue) Dixon, and Jimmy (Linda) Dixon; 14 grandchildren and a numerous amount of great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren.

Funeral services for Mr. Dixon will be heldSaturday, August 26, 2017, at4:00 p.m.in the chapel of Ingram Funeral Home with Rev. Tony Estes, Rev Lamar Day and Rev. Jacob Cantrell officiating. Interment will follow at Sawnee View Gardens. The family will receive friends on Friday, August 25, 2017 at the funeral home from12:30 p.m. to 9 p.m.andon Saturday, from9 a.m.until the hour of service.
