Jimmy William Davenport, age 78, of Sugar Hill, passed away on July 10th.
Jimmy William Davenport, age 78, of Sugar Hill, passed away on July 10th, 2024. Affectionately known as “Poppy” “Uncle Jimmy” “Uncle Jimbo” and “Mr. D”, he was loved by many. Jimmy was retired from Tara Materials. He was the production manager for over 4 decades. He loved camping, fishing, the mountains, and the beach. More importantly he loved his family whole heartedly and his prize puppies. He took care of everyone. He is preceded in death by his parents, Sidney and Esther Davenport Wheeler; sisters, Gracie Bowen, Elaine Bills, brother, Sidney Davenport, sister-in-law Katherine Davenport, niece, Sandy Davenport, and brother-in-law, Gene Pedigo.
He is survived by his wife, Annette Tollison Davenport; children, Chris (Tina) Davenport, Ami (Kirk) Wood; brother, Tommy (Vivian) Davenport; sister, Lorene Pedigo; grandchildren, Emily Cunningham, Taylor Wood, Teddy Davenport, Trent Davenport, Kai Wood, Christina Davenport; several nieces and nephews.
We all rest easy knowing that he is in peace and with his heavenly Father.
Revelation 21:4 “And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes; and there shall be no more death, neither sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain: for the former things are passed away.”
Memorial and celebration of life will be held on July 21, 2024, at 1:00 pm at 6470 Westbay Terrace, Cumming GA 30040. All are Welcome.
