Jimmy Lamar Stone, age 76, a lifelong resident of Forsyth county Georgia, passed away Tuesday, May 15, 2012. He was a well respected and faithful member of Shiloh United Methodist Church and loved his church family. Jimmy also loved gardening and antiquing. He was a loving and devoted husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather. Jimmy is survived by his loving wife of 58 years, Betty Day Stone; daughters and sons-in-law, Penelope (David) Pattillo, Cindy (Gary) Carter; son and daughter-in-law, Allen (Darlene) Stone; grandchildren and spouses, Brianna Zuber and Dan Twyman, Allen Pattillo, Ben Pattillo, Charlene and Mark Terry, Crystal Stone, Becca and Matt Hicks; great grandchildren, Amber Cook and Adriana Terry; sister and brother-in-law, Bobbie and Alton Richards; brother and sister-in-law, Glendal and Ellen Stone; sister and brother-in-law, Carolyn and Morris McGinnis; sister, Phyllis Samples; brother and sister-in-law, Michael and Marion Stone; sisters-in-law, Dot Holbrook, Martha Day, Shirley Day; numerous nieces, nephews and other loving relatives. . Funeral services will be held Friday, May 18, 2012 at 2:00 p.m. in the chapel of Ingram Funeral Home with Rev. Hess "Doc" Hall and Rev. Johnny Purcell officiating. Interment will follow at Sawnee View Memorial Gardens in Cumming, GA. The family will receive friends on Thursday, at the funeral home from 3 to 9 p.m. Ingram Funeral Home & Crematory, Cumming, Georgia is in charge of arrangements.
