Joan B. Worley

Joan B. Worley was born October 30, 1931 to Frances Luznar and Joseph Benedict, Jr. in Amherst, Ohio. Grew up in Samsula, Florida. Valedictorian of the class of 1949, New Smyrna Beach High School. Attended Emory University School of Nursing. Past President of Valley Forrest Garden Club. The Young Matrons Circle for Tallulah Falls School, Riverside West Garden Club and Riverside Homeowners Association.

An Avid gardener, she and her husband Bill had an extensive collection of native plants and flowers. She was a life member of the Garden Club of Georgia and was honored as member of the year.

Survived by her husband of 58 years, William L. Worley. Predeceased in death by two sisters Frances Raulerson and Marie Carter. Three living brothers are Joseph Benedict, III, Frank David Benedict and George Earl Benedict all of Samsula, Florida. Also many nieces and nephews including Lisa Raulerson Farber of Alpharetta, Georgia. Contributions can be made to the Joan B. A Memorial Service will be held at 2 PM on October 30th, 2009 at the William-Payne House in Sandy Springs, Georgia.
