Joan Annette Croy

Joan Annette Croy, a beloved wife, mother, Grammy, sister, and friend, passed away peacefully on September 29, 2024 after a short battle with cancer. Born on June 17, 1947 in Atlanta, Georgia, she graced the world with her warmth and kindness for over 77 years.

Annette’s life was a testament to the values she held dear – her family and her faith. She poured her heart into loved ones, always going above and beyond and putting other’s needs above her own. Through her nurturing spirit she inspired generations and leaves behind a legacy of unconditional love and unwavering kindness. 

Annette is survived by her loving husband, Bradford Croy, her cherished daughter, Lisa Croy Simpson (David), and her adored grandchildren, Riley Mae Simpson, Luke Holden Simpson, Claire Ruby Simpson, and Evelyn Frances Simpson. She also leaves behind her dear sisters, Tanya Barnes, Brenda Langston (Clyde), and Claudette Shea (Bill), along with many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. She joins in rest her parents, JM and Ruby Opal Kirkley Atha, her youngest sister, Cheryl Adams (Elijah), and brother-in-law David Barnes, who welcomes her with open arms.

Visitation will be held at Ingram Funeral Home and Crematory in Cumming, Georgia on October 2nd and 3rd from 4pm – 8pm and October 4th from 9am – 1:45pm. A funeral service in celebration of her life will take place on October 4th at 2pm with Rev. Danny Orr and Rev. Randy Richard Officiating. Interment will follow at Sawnee View Memorial Gardens.

Annette will be deeply missed but forever cherished in the hears of those she loved.
