Joan Maslanka Harding, age 53, of Suwanee, GA, passed away Monday, March 19, 2012 after a hard-fought battle with cancer. Joan was born in Lafayette, LA, raised in Laurel, MS and attended The University of Mississippi. She has lived in Georgia for the past 19 years. Joan was an avid Ole Miss Rebel fan, a "mom" to everyone at Dance Arts Centre and a truly loving, genuine and compassionate woman. She is preceded in death by her husband, William (Bill) Harding. Survivors include her children, Kelly Harding Street (husband Marc Street), Michelle Harding and Christine Harding, all of Atlanta; her parents, Bernie and Elizabeth Maslanka of Laurel, MS; brothers, Mike Maslanka of Houston, TX, Mark Maslanka of Jackson, MS, Craig Maslanka of Laurel, MS, Patrick Maslanka of Tampa, FL, Todd Maslanka of Laurel, MS; sister, Kelly Maslanka Grissett of Meridian, MS; and other loving family and friends. Funeral services will be held Thursday, March 22, 2012 at 10 a.m. at St. Brendan's Catholic Church with Father Fabio Alverez officiating. Interment will follow at Sawnee View Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends on Wednesday, from 5 to 9 p.m. at Ingram Funeral Home. Ingram Funeral Home & Crematory, Cumming, Georgia is in charge of arrangements.
