John Louis Gentry

John Louis (J.L.) Gentry, 84, of Cumming, GA passed away on Wednesday, January 6th, 2016. He was preceded in death by his wife, Lillian Gentry, Infant twins and his parents, Fred and Lois Gentry.


J.L. was a veteran of the Unites States Marines and served in the Korean War. He was a dedicated, father, grandfather, brother, uncle and friend to those who got to know and love him.


He is survived by his son, Hal (Stephanie) Gentry of Dawsonville; grandchildren, Camden, Jillian and Jacob; brother, Robert Eugene (O'Neida) Gentry of Cumming; 4 nieces, 3 nephews and several great nieces and nephews.


Funeral Services will be held on Monday, January 11th, 2016 at 2:00 PM at Trinity Worship Center, Cumming, GA. Graveside services will be held on Tuesday, January 12th, 2016 at 12:30PM at Georgia National Cemetery located in Canton, GA. The family will be receiving friends at the funeral home on Sunday, January 10th, 2016 from the hours of 3:00 PM until 9:00 PM.
