John Allen "Buck" Roper

John Allen (Buck) Roper, age 92 of Cumming, passed away Monday, February 3, 2014. Buck was a member at Haw Creek Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by his parents, John Allen Roper, Sr. and Cora Roper. Survivors include his loving wife, Hilda Phillips Roper of Cumming; sons and daughters-in-law, Ronald and Sandra Roper of Kennesaw, Robert and Robbie Roper of Griffin; grandchildren, Brian Roper of Atlanta, Jennifer & Jason Monyhan of Roswell, Craig and Pam Roper of Marietta, John Samuel and Gretchen Roper of Mt. Pleasant, SC, Jacob Roper of Griffin; great grandchildren, Ross Roper, Sarah Roper and Sophia Monyhan; sister, Betty Coker of Murrayville; many loved ones and friends also survive. Funeral services will be held Thursday, February 6, 2014 at 2:00 P.M. in the Ingram Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Horace Richards and Rev. Larry Vaughan officiating. Interment will follow at Sawnee View Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends at Ingram Funeral Home on Wednesday from 6 P.M. until 8 P.M., Thursday from 1 P.M. until the hour of the service.
