John Casey

John Casey Jr., 94, of Doraville passed away Monday, November 11, 2013. He is survived by his wife of 61 years, Dimple Burch Casey, his daughter Elizabeth Casey Smith, and his sons John Michael Casey and Charles Stephen Casey. He was the son of the late Gussie Banks Casey and John Casey, Sr. He was a brother to the late Mary Elizabeth Banks, the late Benny Banks, and the late Peggy Casey Seay.

John was a loving and devoted son, brother, husband, father, uncle and friend to all. He served in WWII as a Sergeant in the 481st Air Services Squadron, Army Air Forces. He was stationed in New Guinea, the Southern Philippines and Luzon. He retired from the Veterans Administration as a Computer Programmer after 30 years of service. He later retired at the age of 70 from the Ivan Allen Company. He and his wife enjoyed ballroom dancing and belonged to several dance clubs throughout the years.

A Memorial Service will be held at 3:00p.m. Saturday, November 16, 2013 at Dunwoody United Methodist Church, in the Chapel, 1548 Mt. Vernon Rd, Dunwoody GA 30339 with Rev. David Melton officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the church.

In lieu of flowers the family has requested memorial contributions, in John''s name, be made to Crossroads Hospice, 1957 Lakeside Parkway, Suite 500, Tucker Ga 30084.
