John Elwood Witham

John Elwood Witham, age 86, recently of Cumming, GA, passed away in Hospice care on Friday, December 31st. Born in Lima, Ohio to Laura Snider and Jerry Maurice on February 23, 1924, after serving our country in WWII, he moved to Atlanta in 1954 and was married to Frances Bolding for 56 years. Self-employed with Witham's Drapery Service he later moved to East Point, GA and worked for Southern Wood Piedmont. He is survived by her wife and (3) children, Mark Witham (Nan) of Carrollton, GA, Donna Eller of Cumming and Sue Lowman (Jerry) of Charleston, SC. (5) Grandchildren include Brian (Maegan) and Laura Kate Witham, Bailey Eller, Joslyn and Joshua Lowman as well as (2) sisters in Ohio. The family will receive friends Monday at Byars Funeral Home from 5 to 8PM Monday with grave side services 1PM Tuesday at Sawnee View Gardens. He will be remembered and strongly missed for his wittiness and fun loving sense of humor.
