John H. Rowland

John H. Rowland, age 84, of Gainesville, GA, passed away on October 15th, 2021. John was a member of Cannon UMC in Snellville, GA. John received his JD from Woodrow Wilson in Atlanta. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, and great grandfather. He enjoyed old movies, music, and good BBQ. He loved children. John was the baby of eight children.

He was survived by his loving wife of 65 years, Elaine Head Rowland; children, Robert Britton (Micke) Rowland, Shawn Rowland-Howell; grandchildren, Nickolas (Maegan) Rowland, Victoria (Keith) Platt; great grandchildren, Knox Platt, Grady Platt, Henry Rowland; sisters Bettie Harding, Patricia Shaw; nieces, nephews, and other family.

Memorial services will be held on November 6th, 2021, at 11:00 AM, in the chapel of Ingram Funeral Home with Dr. Mark Outlaw officiating. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 10:00 AM until the hour of service.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Jude's Children Hospital.
