John (Johnny) S. Brady Sr., 80, of Cumming, Georgia, passed away peacefully on December 25, 2024, after a long battle with Parkinson's disease.
Born on October 5, 1944, John was a loving husband to Mary Beth, a devoted father to John Jr. (Sherri) and Jessica (Isaac), and a cherished grandfather to Chandler, Avery, and Reese. He was also a beloved brother to Evelyn and Uncle to Sharon and Jeff (Vicky) and cherished uncle and cousin to many other family members.
John served in the Marine Corps and had a successful career in the alarm system industry for over 40 years. He was known for his friendly and outgoing personality and his dedication to his job and community. He was a member of American Legion Post 307 in Cumming, Georgia, where he served as commander for a year and helped coach the post's baseball team to numerous victories.
He enjoyed listening to Elvis Presley, indulging in moon pies, root beer, barbeque and chocolate shakes and spending time with his loved ones.
John will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the Parkinson's Foundation.
Due to the anticipated inclement weather John's Celebration of Life service has been rescheduled to Sunday, January 12, 2025 at 1:00 p.m. at the Ingram Funeral Home Chapel. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 11:00 a.m. until the time of the service.
