John Raymond "Bo" Hendricks Sr

HENDRICKS - John Raymond "Bo" Hendricks, Sr., age 83, of Cumming, GA passed away peacefully on Monday, February 17, 2014. An Atlanta native, Bo was born to the late Archie and Florence (Entrekin) Hendricks. He is survived byBarbara, wife of almost 60 years, daughter and son-in-law Terrie and Carl Marinelli, sons John R. Hendricks, Jr. and Jeff Hendricks; daughters-in-law Feryal and Kay Hendricks; grandchildren Christina, Jake, Marcie Marinelliand Jack, Darby and Nicholas Hendricks; and many dear family members and friends. A graduate of RooseveltHS (Class of '49), Bo joined the Army with the support of his family including three brothers who had fought in Europe, Africa and the Pacific. He served his country proudly as a Staff Sergeant in Korea and was awarded the Peace Medal for "valor and bravery." Bo was a successful hardware salesman withThe Moore-Handley Companyfor 30 years. He was aMason, a member of the YaarabShrine andactive in the Oriental Band. He was adedicated family man whotook great joyraising his kids, including quality time at Midway Ballpark in Decatur where he wasLittle League coach and volunteer. Bo enjoyed life, never met a stranger, loved UGA (and GT) football, and adored his wife Barbara - a true angel. A memorial service will be held at 12:30pm on Friday, February 21, 2014 at the Georgia National Cemeterylocated near the city of Canton in Cherokee County. A fellow Roosevelt HS classmate, Rev.
