John Robert Hughes

John R. Bob Hughes, 88, passed away Saturday, January 7, 2012, peacefully surrounded by the love of his family.

He was born, September 27, 1923, in Norfolk, Nebraska, to James L. Hughes and Margaret Sullivan Hughes.

Loving husband, father, WWII Veteran and salesman, John was preceded in death by his brother James R. Dick Hughes, and sister, Jean H. Johnson.He is survived by his wife, Edna L. Gaylord Hughes, with whom he recently celebrated 62 years of marriage, son, John J.R., his wife Karen and 3 grandchildren Patrick, Maggie and Sam Hughes all of Atlanta, GA. He is also survived by 1 brother, Larry Hughes and his wife Teena of Marietta, GA.
