John S Padgett

John S Padgett, age 86, of Cumming, passed away Wednesday, April 5, 2017. He was a member of Longstreet Baptist Church. He loved working on cars and tractors. He was preceded in death by his brother, Loyal Padgett; sister, Evelyn Richards; parents, Floyd and Kumie Padgett. Survivors include his wife of 68 years, Sara Lucille Padgett of Cumming; sons and daughters-in-law, John David and Debra Jackson Padgett of Cumming, James Ricky and Sharron Diane Padgett of Gainesville; grandchildren David Andrew Padgett, Amanda Pershey, Brandon Padgett; great grandchildren, Zachary Shrope, Kaelyn Pershey, Dillon Pershey, Madelyn Pershey; brother and sisters-in-law, Rev. Bobby and Betty Padgett of Ball Ground, Bonnie Ruth Padgett; sister and brothers-in-law, Gail and Robert Scoggins of Free Home, Lanier Richards; and a number of nieces, nephews and other relatives also survive. Funeral services will be held Friday, April 7th at 2:00 pm at Longstreet Baptist Church with Rev. Bobby Padgett and Rev. Doug Carnes officiating. Interment will follow in Macedonia Memorial Park. The family will receive friends at Ingram Funeral Home on Thursday from 1:00 pm until 4:00 pm and 6:00 pm until 9:00 pm and Friday from 10:00 am until hour of the service. Ingram Funeral Home & Crematory, Cumming, Georgia is in charge of arrangements.
