John Thomas Smith

John Thomas Smith, age 84, formerly of Canton, passed away Tuesday, October 11, 2011. He was an avid fox hunter. He was preceded in death by his wife of 41 years Polly Anne Smith. Survivors include his step-daughter, Rosa (Zebb) Owens; grandchildren, Kim (Owen) Brannan, Rebecca (Benny) Mortenson, Darby (Rick) Motes, Mark (Donna) Owens; 8 great grandchildren; 12 great great grandchildren; brother, Raymond Wendell Smith; and other loving relatives also survive. Funeral services will be held Saturday October 15th at 2:00pm at Macedonia Methodist Church with Rev. Sam Newman officiating. Interment will follow in Macedonia United Methodist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends at Ingram Funeral Home on Thursday from 4:00 pm until 7:00 pm, Friday from 4:00 pm until 7:00 pm and Saturday from 9:00 am until hour of service. Ingram Funeral Home Crematory, Cumming, Georgia is in charge of arrangements.
