Joseph Larry Garner, Sr.

Joseph Larry Garner, Sr, age 75 of Cumming, passed away Monday, February 15, 2021. Larry worked for the Georgia State Patrol in the 60's and then retired from The Gwinnett County Fire Department as a fire medic. He was a loving husband, father and Papa who was good with people. Papa was a selfless, sweet spirted Christian man who loved God and his family. He is now residing in heaven with the love of his life for 52 years, Jan. In addition to his wife, he is preceded in death by his parents, Joe and Inez Garner; sister Linda Malcom.

Larry is survived by his children, Pam (Carnell) Ray, Joey (Denise) Garner of Cumming, Chris (Amy) Garner;

Grandkids, Jerica Royal (Luke), Kayla Thomas (Casey), Rosey Higgins (Parker), Lilly Ray, Caroline Ray, Kendra Cowart, Slaton Garner, Jake Garner, Logan Garner, Hank Garner;

Great grandkids, Anna and Rose Royal, Cole and future Thomas Boy (due July 2021), Cameron Dill, Elliot and Penny Higgins, Kylah Dukes; and a number of other relatives also survive.

Memorial services will be held on Friday, February 19, 2021 at 4:00 pm at Ingram Funeral Home Chapel with Dr. Roger Williams officiating. The family will receive friends at Ingram Funeral Home on Friday from 1:00 pm until hour of service.
