Joy Inez McConnell

Joy Inez McConnell, 57, of Smyrna, Georgia passed away peacefully on January 12, 2023.

Joy was passionate about her family and friends and loved spending time with them. She liked to cook and bake. She was always on the lookout for that next awesome recipe. Joy loved to shop and would seek out the best bargains and always looked forward to the Black Friday sales. She enjoyed her music, books and good movies. She was a loyal and dedicated employee for 32 years with Home Depot corporate office. Joy touched many lives and will be sorely and deeply missed by her family and everyone that knew her. 

Joy was preceded in death by her father, Roy McConnell; maternal grandparents, Albert (Buddy) and Inez Kalb; paternal grandparents, Jim and Clara McConnell.

She is survived by mother, Carolyn McConnell from Cumming, Georgia; her brother Allen (Sandra) McConnell from Cumming, Georgia; her nephew Alex (Zabby) McConnell of Canton, Georgia.

The family wishes to extend sincere gratitude to the countless friends and extended family members who shared so much love with Joy over her years. The family will be having a private ceremony at a later date to celebrate her life.
