Joyce Shortnacy

Mary Joyce Shortnacy of Forsyth County, Georgia, age 74, passed away on Wednesday, July 24, 2019. She is preceded in death by her husband, David C. Shortnacy and her parents, Hester and Marguerite Johnson; brother, Charles Hanson, and sister, June Hamlin.

Joyce is survived by her brothers, Wayne (Maggie) Hanson, Ray (Faye) Johnson, Kenny (Cathy) Johnson, David (Teresa) Johnson, and Steve (Debby) Johnson and sister, Joan Johnson Parker. Survivors also include her children, Lisa (Danny) Lingerfelt, Tommy (Valerie) Shortnacy, Bobby (Charlotte) Shortnacy, and Stephanie (Darrell) Whitt. Grandchildren, Daniel (Sarah) Lingerfelt, Felicia and Derick Lingerfelt, Blake (Sara) Shortnacy, Thomas (Caroline) Shortnacy, Austin (Lauren) Shortnacy, Ryan, Faith, Micah, and Garrett Shortnacy; Noah Willis, Katie Whitt, and April Dyer. Also included are fifteen great-grandchildren, Patelynn, Nathan, Anna, Abigail, Heidi, Steven, Jace, Addlee, Troy, Levi, Benjamin, Mathias, Xander, Damian, and Lola.

Funeral Services will be held at Byars Funeral Home in Cumming, Georgia on Saturday, July 27, 2019 at 1:00 p.m. The family will receive friends from 10:00 a.m. until service time. Interment will follow to Dawsonville Memorial Gardens.
