Joyce Brooks Summers

Joyce Brooks Summers, age 84 of Cumming, passed away peacefully on Friday, April 17, 2015. She was an avid Braves Baseball fan, loved her Lord, and her Church and her family. She is preceded in death by her husband, Robert E. Summers; parents, Haynie, Sr. and Lethia E. Brooks; brothers, Haynie Brooks Jr. and H. Leon Brooks. She is survived by her stepson, Greg (Christine) Summers and two grandchildren of NC; sister, Elizabeth B. Bagwell of Cumming; sister-in-law, Mary Brooks of Roswell; nieces and nephews, Carole B. (Howard) Clayton of Cumming, Ronnie W. (Merry) Bagwell of Winder, Jan (Larry) Garner of Loganville, Steve (Arlene) Brooks of Woodstock, Marilyn Van Atta of Naples, FL, Douglas L. (Rusty Wolf) Brooks of Atlanta; along with a number of cousins. Funeral services will be held Tuesday, April 21, 2015, 11:00 AM in the Chapel of Ingram Funeral Home with Pastor Bob Baines and Chaplain Steve Severs officiating. Interment will follow at Arlington Memorial Park. The family will receive friends at Ingram Funeral Home, Monday, April 20, from 7:00 PM to 9:00 PM and on Tuesday from 9:30 AM until the hour of service.
