Joyce Seabolt Cook

Joyce Seabolt Cook passed away at home in Cumming, GA on Monday, March 9, 2015 at the age of 61. She had fought a courageous battle with cancer for the last couple of years, with family at her side. Joyce was born in Detroit, MI on August 16, 1953. In 1955, Joyce, her brother and parents moved to Suches, Ga. She graduated from Fannin High School in 1971 and went on to earn an Associate's Degree from Clarkesville. She worked for GE Supply, which later became GEXPRO, for 32 years as Warehouse Operations Manager. Joyce was a loving wife, mother, memommie, daughter and sister, who treasured everyone she met and every minute she shared with those people. She touched many lives and will forever leave a footprint on the base of those hearts. Her witty comments and heart-warming smile will never be forgotten. We will miss her dearly, but will eternally love the kind soul that continues on, to be our guardian angel. Joyce is survived by her father William Earley Seabolt of Blairsville, GA, her mother Violet Seabolt, of Blue Ridge, GA, loving husband Lonnie, her children Kevin of Denver, CO, Courtney of Cumming, GA, Ashley of Santa Rosa Beach, FL, Brittany of Rabun, GA and granddaughter Rylee of Cumming, and also siblings Larry Seabolt (Kay), of Morganton, GA, and Lloyd Seabolt (Donna) of Loganville, GA, Janice Brown (Dan) of Mineral Bluff, Jeanette Lawrence (Gene) of Blairsville, GA and Rachel George (David) of Blairsville, GA. The family will receive friends on Saturday, 12:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m., 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. and Sunday, 1:00 p.m. until time of service. Funeral services will be held on Sunday, March 15th at 2:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Ingram Funeral Home, with interment at Sawnee View Gardens Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to MD Anderson Cancer Center, through The University of Texas, for Appendiceal cancer research at mdanderson.org.
